Lee Yu-Ri

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the aging anxiety level of the middle aged adults and analyze the effects of a senior simulation on the aging anxiety of the middle aged adults and examine the potential application of the senior simulation. This study subjects were 119 adults aged between 40 to 64 years old who participate in senior simulation program in Honam University. The results of this study were as follows. First, in the pre-test(before the senior simulation program), the aging anxiety level of the study subjects was high(3.47, 5 rating scale). And this result shows the aging anxiety level of the middle aged adults is severe. Second, in the post-test(after the senior simulation program), there was statistically significant difference in the aging anxiety level(3.06, 5 rating scale) of the study subjects. And ¡¯psychological concern¡¯ was the factor that showed the highest significant change. And ¡¯fear of loss¡® and ¡¯fear of old people¡¯ were the factors that showed a significant change. The results shows senior simulation is an effective intervention to decrease the aging anxiety of the middle aged adults. Third, in the research about the satisfaction of the senior simulation, it was proved that the senior simulation program helped the study subjects understand the change in the bodies of the elderly and prepare the old age life. And comprehensive(micro and macro) implications to utilize and activate the senior simulation program were recommended.
